Village Setup Empty
PostSubject: Village Setup   Village Setup I_icon_minitimeThu Jan 21, 2010 12:23 am

Ok, guys, the basic ideas of village setup is as follows.

There are three types of village for defensive players.
1) troop production
2) supply
3) troop garage.

Troop production villages have armory upgrades for the appropriate troops. These upgrades are expensive so they are best done in the smallest number of villages. A good troop supply village would have a barracks and and armory, and build troops 24/7 later in the game.

A supply village is an important concept. These are villages that, at a push, you would not bother defending. The fewer villages that need defending, the less the need for you to split your defense force if you are under attack. A good attacker will fake to a number of villages at the same time, so you won't know which village the attacks will hit.

So a supply village specialises in hiding resources (lots of crannies), moving resources (a big marketplace), is close to the troop building village, and can store troops when they are not in use. I have a couple of supply villages with 7-8 crannies, so that if anyone rocks in, you just let them attack. And a couple of times a day, you transfer the resources to your troop building village.

A troop garage is where a defensive player can store troops. It is normally a 15 cropper, and a defensive player, once they have enough troops to defend themselves, will store extra troops there to reduce crop load. That way, they can have troops in hand in case them, or someone from the alliance, gets attacked. The alliance intends to have a bunch of troop garages.
